Candidasa Hotels and Accommodation

Candidasa is a beautiful stretch of lush coastline in Eastern Bali beginning near Manggis in Amok Bay and continuing to the main village center. Candidasa hotels are approximately a two-hour drive from the international airport and over an hour drive from Ubud. Candidasa is a tranquil village and the hotels in Candidasa offer varying accommodation, from basic to five-star resorts, some good restaurants and a charming lotus lagoon in the middle. Candidasa is a laid-back place well-known for excellent scuba diving.

While relaxing is by far the primary activity here, there are many things to do. Trekking, bicycling and climbs to Mount Agung as well as visits to the ancient Bali Aga community in Tenganan are popular as well. There are some attractive beaches here (White Sand Beach), although some are patchy and many disappear at high tide, good for snorkeling. One can also visit Goa Lawah temple and bat cave as well as the famous Tirta Gangga water palace.
